Sevn Alias was born in Amsterdam as the son of a Surinamese father and a Surinamese-Antillean mother and grew up in Amsterdam-West between Moroccan youth. This is today still be heard in his music; He uses Moroccan words in his songs. His single “kifesh” which in 2016 received the gold status, is the Moroccan word for ‘why’. Later he moved after a brief stopover in Zeewolde to Almere.
The Rotterdam Airlines label discovered the young rapper and offered him a contract. In 2014, he dropped his first video for the track “Radical”, a taste for his mixtape from early 2015 Twenty Four SEVN. His big break came a few months later. He did a summer session at 101Barz in July 2015 which received millions of views.
